The 2003 IfHI Conference 'A Century of Blood Group Science' was attended by over 250 professional and laypeople, from over six continents and seventeen countries.

The curriculum was varied, in-depth and fascinating. Dr. D'Adamo taught four master classes containing a huge amount of new information. Dr. D'Adamo introducing Dr. Wollner, who gave a knockout presentation on blood group antigens.

IfHI faculty Dr. Cheryl Deroin (SW College Faculty, Nutrition) and Dr. Debra Wollner (SW College Faculty, Basic Sciences) take a break from Powerpoint.   Southwest College volunteer students provided critical support functions. Thanks guys!

Lois and Victor Porlier enjoy a bit of open air dining! Dr. Handwerger doing a bit of hands-on teaching.

Dr. D'Adamo and Dr. Handwerger at the Q and A session. By all accounts, the food drew rave reviews!

Beautiful Arizona weather, and a beautiful campus! Dr. Handwerger, Dr. D'Adamo and Martha D'Adamo take a moment to exhale!

Dr. Laura Mittman (conference coordinator) and Dr. Paul Mittman (president of the college) could not have provided a more welcoming environment. Dina Khader, RD, MS (one of Dr. D'Adamo's earliest supporters) seems very happy to be here!

Dr. D'Adamo and Ryan Partovi  finally get some face time. John Harris (NAP) and Dr. Walter Crinnion (SW College Faculty, Environmental Medicine) chat during a refreshment break.

Stuart Semple, Dr. Robert Broadwell and Dr. Thomas Kruzel share a moment of mirth. Professor Dag Viljen Poleszynski (from Norway) asks Laura Mittman if the weather forecast includes snow. Sorry Dag!

Two of our favorite Brits: Carole Symons chats with Dr. Tom Greenfield at the NAP exhibit. Art Rodriguez and Lisa Gengo (ND candidates from the University of Bridgeport) smile for the camera.

Dr. Kruzel presenting on sero-typing techniques. Friends and colleagues.
A few of the many e-mails we've received from attendees.
I was quite impressed with the attendance and the long distances people traveled to attend the conference. I want to understand the material much better so I can help more people and certainly plan on attending the next event in 2005.
You and your staff did a nice job!!!

Sincerely yours,

Though some people were shaken up by the questions on the test, I was not. I know I did not do well, but I took the challenge, and am proud to have done so. It is not as if I will not learn this material in my own time. I have been a torch bearer for this diet, and I will contiue to be so! Even if I did not pass the test, I am better educated, as well as on fire to carry the mesage of the diet into the future.Everyting so wonderful! I am afraid the next confrenece will be so big, it can never again be so intimate. I will cherish the memories of this one for the rest of my life! Will see you for certain in 2005, and hopefully before that.

aka...I am not worthy, I am not worthy...LOL!

An email to thank you for the extraordinary conference you organized!  I have been to quite a few over the last ten years of practice and this one, by far, surpassed all expectations (and that is not even counting the food which was way ‘over the top’!).  I returned totally inspired by the vision of IfHI and the place that blood type science has in truly honoring our naturopathic precepts of treating cause and individualizing care to the whole person. Thanks again!

Warm regards,

David A. Bove, N.D.

You really did a good job. I appreciated everything during the conference. However, time was too short to absorb and digest everything. I agree what Dr. D said that we should have a week.
